Customer search in web issue

In the current version 11.111.0 the customer search in web is defaultly enabled. When we search any name its taking very long time (4-5 minute) or more. Due to this billing totally hampered. It should be profile based that we can set  its default enable or disable. its not possible to that cashier disable manually in every bill. please consider on this critical issue.......

    should be profile based to disable or enable the web search it’s slowing down the billing please implement.

    We had received request from multiple Customers that system should restrict creation of Duplicate records. Now order to implement it the Web Search was marked "Yes" by default to avoid such duplicate customer creation.
