As there is a permission to take a minimum amount during a POS order in the master policy of the store so there should be a permission of minimum amount for a POS bill as well. As there are customers who don't pay the full bill amount and leave the goods for alteration purpose and promise to pay the rest when they collect the goods. Sometimes what happens is that they agree to pay half the bill amount or sometimes even less. So if i can set a minimum limit, the cashier will have no choice but to collect the minimum amount

In this type of scenario, our recommendation would be to create POS order taking minimum amout as initial deposit. Once order has been prepared then create POS Bill against that order and collect rest of the amount from customer.
For credit sale there is no such minimum deposit concept in GINESYS. This is a workaround solution for your need. Presently we do not have any intention to do so as most of the retailers does not allow credit sale, but of-course i understand that it is part of your practice.
