While importing the data from excel sheet if any barcode is not found in master it should proceed with the matching records. Removing the Invalid data and again processing is cumbersome job.
Practically the brands shares a common excel sheet which are to be included in Promotion. Out of it there are only specific items which are bought by us, thus this feature is required to process the assortment creation faster.

Thanks for the idea, your suggested feature has been released. Items can now be imported using excel while defining Assortment for promotions.

In the above mentioned cases an exception report is also required to study the missing barcodes.
EXCEL IMPORT for Category is currently dependent on ARTICLE_NAME although if we enter from Front end it is not required, we have common CAT1 for different article and we want to create assortments with lesser line items, so this is not possible from front end.
We have tried with the Barcode level promotion but it failed as of the following reasons (Please ensure a solution)
1. We have around 6-8 Lakhs of items to be imported in different Assortments
2. In v10 the File creation time was quite huge hence we dropped back to Category Level Promotions
3. As stated due to we are unable to import ONLY CAT without ARTICLE (the solution given is by Support Team from backend this backfires incase any CAT ID is not updated a BLANK Line is inserted in ASSORTMENT Table and then all Items starts resolving the Assortment Promotion.
4. Usually Excel import takes too much of time, it should be faster.
