    Thanks for the idea, your suggested feature has been released. Item Name can now be provided at the time of creating serial items using import excel option.

    We are adding Item name as required. However, Short Name is generated automatically for Item uniqueness for Serial Item so we are unable to add Short Name in Import excel.
