As rightly stated, Transfer In and Transfer out are ways to transfer stock between HO to/from Store. (Owned consignment sites). From GST point of view it is considered as Sale and Purchase if transfer is between different GSTIN.

Could you let me know how Stock Transfer IN/OUT works in Ginesys. I can then eloborate the issue. I am given to understand that its a movement in a location between Ware house and SHops Sites. If this is not the case, please clarify on which sites does the movement happen.

Hi Raj,

I have five locations where stock is transferred from vendors to these locations. The Warehouse executive does Stock transfer out to outlets based on request. The Stock transfer IN is done by operations team. Since this is an internal movement, it should be automated to reduce discrepancies. Currently 4 out of 5 locations, there is a mismatch in Stock Transfer IN/OOUT. Since logistics and operations are not involved in month closure, this is a challenge to Finance team for book closure. If there is any discrepancy in stock transfers (internally) then a similar return can be done for the shortage or excess stock issued which should be accepted by warehouse and investigated. With Automation of systems, this ERP can be more user friendly for retail industry.

Do you want that "Transfer In" entry should be auto generated against a "Transfer Out" entry?
