We have noticed that sometimes in rare scenarios like internet connectivity issues at site or some other issue , data of a customer which already exists at HO customer is not getting downloaded at POS location and the cashier creates a new customer.
Now after sync , 2 separate customers are created at HO with the same mobile number. We have noticed even where loyalty card is assigned to a customer, a duplicate customer is created.
There should be a system of Merging the customers with same mobile number at HO level.
in this way we can avoid duplicate customers and data will remain clean
