Please check the method of GRT under which these mistakes happen.
if a person scan barcode in qty section (preparing packet for GRT) then the alpha of barcode doesn’t come and numeric nos becomes a code and Value of the product get enhanced/overstated.
To minimize errors in GRT, we should implement system-based validation controls for allowing only the available inventory at POS during inventory transfer from Stores to WH.
If system restriction is infeasible, there should be pop-ups for:
Creating transfers for inventory more than available quantity at POS or
Abstract information is tried to be captured in quantity column, while scanning inventory for preparing shipments.

We have the following controls in place:
if the quantity the user is transferring from store to HO is more than what is available in stock, then negative stock popup shows up.
You can implement GRT advice, i.e., HO will decide which Item and the number of pieces of the item which needs to be transferred back to HO. Accordingly the store will have to adhere the same.
