In web-based application, lag is a noticeable delay (latency) between the action of users (input) and the reaction of the server supporting the transaction/action, which has to be displayed to the end-user.
Hence, to provide satisfying end-user-experience, we've introduced column search only.
We're marking this as unlikely to implement. We will revisit this once enough momentum has gathered. Keep posting your Idea.
