Taking Return In Buy 1 & Get 1 Free Promotion Merged

We are running a promotion, wherein, the condition is given as Buy any 2 units from [Buy Assortment] and Get 1 unit from [Buy Assortment] @ 100% free. So, while billing, the item which has the highest sale price gets billed and the other item is billed at 0.For example, a customer buys two pair of jeans, one with MRP of Rs 1999 and another one with MRP of Rs 1899. So, the customer pays Rs 1999.

So total discount of Rs 1899 is given to customer. However, when the customer returns the product which had MRP of Rs 1899, how should we take the return. As when we take exchange against bill, then credit of Rs 0 comes out, since in the buy bill, that item was billed at 0.

Is there a way where we can take return by having proportionate amount of discount.

Try adhoc return by turning on the Return Mode. That way while scanning the promotion item which have INR 1899 mrp on it will reflect as -1899 in a new bill & you can issue Credit Note against it; also you can enter the original Bill no in the bill remarks section along with the reason of this adhoc return bill.

Let us know, if this serves your requirement or not.

Hi,I belive, In this case, credit note will come out as Rs 1899 which doesn't include the discount customer got on the first place. An optimal solution can be, if we take return against bill, the system can know that Rs1899 was the discount in the original bill. So this amount can be proportionately distributed between the two items. So if the customer returns 1899 jeans, then credit note will be of Rs 1899 less the discount apportioned 925 (1899*(1899/(1899+1999 )) = 973.85Pls give me a call at 8763526282 If you need any further clarification.
