This is a rare situation to arise, as scheduled sync is run in most cases. In case of an error, an error log is generated which reflects the reason of sync failure. Given the workaround it's unlikely that this feature gets implemented. However, we will keep this idea open to gather additional feedback to track the level of interest within the community.
