PayTM Wallet Technical Upgrade Required

Dear Merchant,

In our endeavour to enhance payment experience for your customers, we continue to improve our platform regularly. We have been working hard to take our platform’s experience to next level by making it more scalable & secure. We seek your support in upgrading to our new platform by making following changes:
• Paytm Transaction ID will now be upto 64 characters
This will ensure that the current transaction ID length does not become a constraint in our rapid growth. We request you to update the length of Paytm transaction ID in your system to support 64 characters.
Note: In case your system already accepts 64 characters length for transaction ID then you do not need to make any change at your end

• Maximum Length of State Id for OTP payments will now be upto 100 characters
This will ensure that your transactions become more secure with a higher character limits. You will need to update the length of state ID for OTP payments in your system to support 100 characters.
Note: This enhancement is not applicable for you if you are not accepting OTP payments (accepting either TOTP payments or Barcode payments)

• Refund reference ID will be mandatory
In order to ensure there are no discrepancies in processing refunds & customer experience is not impacted, you need to pass refund reference ID (refundRefId) in every refund request. For every refund request, Paytm will provide Refund ID (refundTxnGuid) in response. The length of refundTxnGuid can be upto 64 characters. You can use the refund reference ID to check the status of your refund in case of any network failure during Refund request.
Note: This is only applicable if you use our Refund API

• Paytm User ID will be 19 digits
Paytm is witnessing a massive growth in its user base thus mandating us to increase the Paytm User ID length to 19 digits. Please make the required changes in your system.
Note: In case you already support 19 digits, you do not need to make any changes

We believe you will support us in this journey to a more scalable & secure future. Our teams will work with you to ensure that any change required at your end is seamless.
We request that you implement these changes at your end by 30th October 2017 to ensure that services offered by us are not affected in the transition. Please confirm if you have made these changes by clicking on this link.
