Currently there are 2 different option to tag a customer, one is searching from the existing Database & second is to add a new customer. So, to check whether the customer is a registered customer or new, cashier has to search from the database & if not registered, he has to again perform a new task of adding a new customer.
MY SUGGESTION - There should be a single field to search for Customer Mobile / Membership No. / Unique Number, if registered then tag, if not then create a new customer in a pop up window.
This will help shorten the process for capturing the customer's data which currently takes a lot of extra time & makes tough for a cashier specially on weekends. Also, customers gets annoyed when asked for mobile number twice or thrice.
Second, In Mobile Number field, exactly 10 Digits should be allowed, else it must show an error.
Third, Special characters like ' . , - , ( ),' etc or numerics must not be allowed in Name Field.
