I want it to search like on typing only sona... or a part of ferrosona garments . I mean Searching should be allowed just by typing a part of word or a full word . When a person make an entry of party name slightly wrong or misspelled at the time of creation then it becomes cumbersome for the other one to search the name of vendor clearly..

As per your requirement the said functionality already exist. In the LOV (list of value) there is FIND string, thus if you input the value sona after '%' it will work accordingly. In case of any further confusion / clarification do call helpdesk.
