The following requirement was generated by Book Industry where use of ISBN plays a vital role irrespective of Barcode.
We are also facing problem at HO at the time of doing GRC by scanning the product at Category 1. In category 1, we capture 13 digit EAN code. And we have to scan at category-1 because we don't put bar code on books as all books come with 13 digit EAN code. It is taking long time/ buffering as we have more than 2lacs of skus. And the same problem is facing at POS when we are billing books by scanning/ searching the title by category 1.
You need to develop the category search option also so that it will scan quickly as bar code scanning option. We are not facing problem when we are billing or doing GRC by bar code scanning.
Kindly check Category-1 scanning option to get faster result as bar code scanning. We can't go like this. Customers are already start complaining regarding time consuming process.

Presently we have scan option for Barcode/Icode, so in no way we are going to add some other scan option to identify item.
If it is possible to provide ISBN no in barcode column of Item master then only scan option will work. This is the only solution presently have.
