PAN of any party has a fixed format of 5 alphabets+4 numbers+1 alphabet
However when we enter PAN during creation of jobber/ supplier, we can enter PAN in any format, which is successfully saved in the database. However, errors during PAN entry can be avoided to a large extent if we fix the format in the PAN field as given above.
Product Team
Since this is a third party defined format, which may change anytime in future. If we restrict the same, their might be some problem in future. We request to do the necessary validation at user end itself. Considering the requirement, we are unlikely to implement this feature.
