Please note that Service invoice for transporter is made against logistic entry and the amount in Ser Inv get automatically populated from Logistic entry so it is necessary that the amount in Logistic entry gets calculated accurately. Since there are some variable factors in the logistic charge calculation for all transporter which is
- docket charge which is generally fixed and per kg rate which may be fixed for all cities or may vary from city to city depending upon contract.
- FOB which is a % linked with the value of consignment.
- In some case if the location is in outskert then there will be ESS charge for each box or per kg
so the user is doing too many calculation manually and it is resulting in errors and later on requiring reconciliation of each docket value as per system and as per transporters bill.
in order to avoid all the manual calculation, errors, reconciliation etc, there should be an option of transport master wherein all these variables can be entered and system post tagging of the sale / transfer documents, shall populate the total logistic charge as per TRANSPORTER, CITY, WEIGHT n DOCKET VALUE tagged with the logistic entry.
